Use the agency inks below to get information about available rentals and vacancy listings throughout Westchester. These agencies can also help you apply for Section 8 and subsidized rental housing, as well as help you prevent eviction. As you scan the entries, take note of where each is located; most operate County-wide.
The Greyston Founation (linked below) provides “affordable housing to vulnerable populations… to help them achieve self-sufficiency.” Sites include Yonkers, Pleasantville and Irvington. Some locations are designed to serve the formerly homeless and those diagnosed with severe, persistent mental illness and drug/ alcohol addiction. Applications are linked on this page.
If you are a Veteran, you may quality for priority consideration in housing. For more information, contact your local Vet Center or Veterans Benefits Agency and be sure to mention your veterans status in any discussion with a housing assistance agency or the Department of Social Services.
