Legal Services of the Hudson Valley (LSHV) is a nonprofit law firm that provides support, advocacy and civil legal representation to poor and low-income families and individuals in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties. They serve children and families, people with disabilities, the elderly, LGBTQ individuals, those living with HIV and AIDS, survivors of domestic violence and veterans and military families.
LSHV assists individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS who face a broad range of legal issues including discrimination, housing and homelessness prevention, HIV confidentiality, disability advocacy, elder law, Medicaid/public benefits advocacy, and permanency planning.
