Transition from the County Jail
Westchester County Jail offers an array of programs to assist in effective community reentry. Programs are designed to support behavioral awareness and change through educational services, substance abuse treatment services, life skills services, transitional services, housing, mental health treatment, and anti-violence intervention. The majority of programs available to within the facility offer continued support in the Westchester community.

Educational programs – Southern Westchester BOCES – GED Preparation, GED testing, college classes with Manhattan College (criminal justice topics) and Westchester Community College

Parenting – Family Services of Westchester’s EMERGE program (for incarcerated parents)

Personal Renewal – Seeds of Change (gardening/life-skills program in collaboration with D.I.G. Farm and the Upon This Rock |Family Restoration Project)

Substance Use Disorder – Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, St. John’s Solutions and Medication Management (MAT) programs
